Sexual Assault and Violence Education by Students (S.A.V.E.S.)
SAVES is a peer education organization that strives to raise awareness of sexual assault and violence through outreach and education in hopes that through our commitment, we will create a safe and accepting environment throughout the Blacksburg/Virginia Tech community.
Members of SAVES are Virginia Tech students who have been specifically trained to educate the Virginia Tech community about difficult issues like sexual assault, relationship violence, healthy relationships, cyber-stalking, and online harassment.
SAVES members provide presentations to different organizations on campus, residence halls, and classrooms. SAVES also conducts information booths, Downtown Initiatives, and participates in university-wide programming related to violence issues.
SAVES is comprised of over a dozen specially trained peer educators.
