Gender-based Violence Advocacy Coordinator

Traci works with students, faculty, and staff who have been impacted by gender-based violence including sexual harassment, gender-based discrimination, stalking, sexual violence, and domestic violence. Traci provides advocacy services and short-term counseling to both primary and secondary survivors. She also provides education about and accompaniment to law enforcement, court proceedings, and/or on-campus GBV conduct hearings with primary and secondary victims.

Traci has a M.S. in Counseling and Human Development and is a licensed professional counselor. She has experience working with individuals of all ages. Before coming to the Women’s Center at VT, Traci worked at New River Valley Community Services in a number of different roles and also served as a children’s counselor at the Women’s Resource Center of the New River Valley.

Traci is a SWVA native with an interest in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy as well as other experiential and expressive types of trauma-informed support services.
